Business Cards

This was a pretty simple assignment. I don't think i have ever seen a two sided business card.

Pattern

This assignment was a little challenging just because the directions were not very clear and so I wasn 't sure what I was suppose to be doing. It reminds me of a maze at a carnival or something and there is no way out.

Personal Logo

I used pen tool to make the shape of the light house. I tried tracing one but it did not work out so great so I just mad it without using a picture. I was quiet an accomplishment! haha But then I used the drawing tool to draw the sand and just added thinness to it for effect. For the letters I just changed the font type and the size of the letters and made sure they they looed even with the sand ad the lighthouse.

Farmers Logo

Basically I just got a rectangle for the body of the barn. For the roof I used the pen tool to crate the shape I wanted. For the doors and the windo I used rectangles and then skinnier rectangles to get the lines in the door. for the planks on the barn I just used black lines and spaced them out. ans finally colored the barn red. In order to get the white boarder on the bar I just layered a white shape behind the red. 

Holloween Poster

In order to create this picture, I had to make a gradient and back the tees and bat out to-where they would look like a shadow. Then I arranged them in the picture how I wanted. Then I made it look like there was a moon behind the trees. I did not have time to finishe though because I wanted to move on to my major grade projects.  .

Splat

All I had to do in order to create this was type my name, drag a a few splatters on to the page and then adjust the letters to add effect. It was a fairly easy assignment.

Personal trace

I enjoy dong like these cause not much color is involved. Also I like to be able to personalize something myself and not just follow a tutorial because sometimes I can't find something it's asking me to do. When we don't have to follow a tutorial I can just do what I already know ansd make it as good as I can with that.

Snowboarder

Also I got the new version of illustraiter and so it is difficult for me to find what they are telling me to look for because its not in the same place as where it was in the older version. I had more done on my snowboarder but I used a computer that is not updated to turn this in and everything did not save. 

So my snowboarder is not complete but I really need to move on to the next lesson before I get further behind then I already am. This lesson was difficult for me beacuse of doing the color of the snowboarder and changing it.

Lily Pad

My computer go the updated version of Illustrator so it was difficult for me to find things on my computer. I thought that doing this assignment was more fun than any of the other ones that we have done! .

Personal sign

I used the trace tool for most of it. and then found different fonts to match the original. The easiest part was making the outline of the shape and the hardest part was matching the fonts because there wasn't a specific font that worked just perfect for the work Cameero.

Las Vegas sign

I used different techniques such as tracing the outline of the sign and creating little light bulbs around the perimeter of the sign. Then we found the different fonts that were similar to the ones in the sign. Also I changed the color of the letters with a little bit of help.  It was very difficult for me to complete this sign and it took me a little while to do it but I think the most difficult part was actually making the outline of the sign. There were so many steps that you had to do and I didn't know where anything was but I managed to make it through those steps. The easiet part was finding the fonts cause all you had to do was match the letter and it was also very fun because I knew what I was doing so I was able to actually do it.

Personal Quote

I chose to put a picture of sunflowers behind this quote because flowers bring happiness but they will also die. Therefore explaining to not always live with regrets but be thankful you have the opportunity to experience the beauty of something if its only for a short time. In the quote I used different elements of design to help emphasize the meaning of the quote. I made different words larger than others that really struck me as I was reading the quote. Those words are what give the quote it's meaning. .The picture has a bright color and so It brings the happiness out in the quote. 

Glyph Monster

I think it turned out alright compared to the original picture. I had a hard time being creative and tryin to figure out where to put things because I am a very black and white person so when things aren't specific in directions I have a hard time figuring out what to do.

I CHOSE CERTAIN COLORS TO ENHANCE THE MEANING OF CERTAIN WORDS THAT MADE ME FEEL A CERTAIN WAY WHILE i WAS READING THE QUOTE. 

Typography

 

For this quote there wee a few powerful words that really helped emphasized the meaning. For me a few of those words were should, more like, progression, theme, and emotions. changing the font and alterint the position of these words helps hit the points of the quote.

Flying Kite

I used the outline of the kite at the line and also the kite is diagonal so that covers direction. then the tail of the kite is textured along with the lines on the outside of the kite symbolizing wind to show it is in motion. The value in this picture is in the outline of the stars. Furthermore the stars provide colour and shape.

Elements of Design

Line- A line could be something that is drawn with a pen or a paintbrush. It could also be what is created when two objects meet forming the edge. A line is very defiant and can either be straight or curved. 

 

Shape- A shape is an object or picture that is self contained defined area that is wither origami or geometric. It is essentially the form that makes up someone or something. Shape is what makes everything unique. 

Directions- The way something is moving in a line. It can be vertical, horizontal, oblique, or diagonal. Direction can also move side to side. The direction vertical gives me a since of height  

 

Size- The size of something determines the mass and what it is composed of. The bigger something is the heavier it tends to be and the smaller something is the lighter it tends to be. There are many different sizes and shapes of different objects. 

Texture- Simply the way something feels. Different things are mad out of different materials and so therefore the texture will be different. Texture can also affect the consistency or something. 

Colour- Also known as the hue of something. It is the color your eye precedes from an object. Everyone eyes sees the colors differently and so nobody will ever know exactly what the true color of something would be. 

Value- Value is the lightness or darkness of a colour. Value is also called Tone. Value can also explain the total worth of something. We use worth every day in our daily lives.
